Lipi Lake蜊埤湖
Updates:2017-09-07 Popularity1628
Introduction
Lipi Lake is situated next to cemetery Yuanshan Fuyuan, with a memorial bridge built across the water. From above, the lake is shaped like an open clam, hence the name Li (clam) pi Lake.
Bald cypresses and gingko trees grow around the Lake, turning brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow in the fall. Their lovely reflections on the water are interrupted by lazily swimming mallards, a sight seemingly transported from another country.

Cold and hot air interacting on the Lake’s surface creates a hazy mist, giving the area a magical feeling, as do the varying, beautiful effects brought by changes in sunlight at sunrise and sunset. Gazing across the green pastures of grass to the layered mountains afar, it doesn’t feel like one is in a cemetery at all, but in a fairy tale world.

This amazing scene draws many photographers and tourists to capture, and marvel at, the beautiful, whimsical atmosphere, while also attracting a lot of tourists to the Lake.
