Zhaoyang National Trail朝陽國家步道

On the hills of Guishan, to the south of Zhaoyang Community in Nanao Village is the Zhaoyang National Trail. The 2.2 kilometer long trail has three entrances, with four observation platforms along the way so visitors can rest and enjoy beautiful views of the Suhua Coast, Wushibi Gorge, Dingqing Lake, Yuanyang Mountain, secret beaches, and more.

Chaoyang National Path(6)
All around the Zhaoyang National Trail is a rich variety of plants, birds, and amphibians. You might catch a glimpse of a black bulbul perched on a branch or other little creatures peeking out of the grass, getting to learn about the flora and fauna while relaxing and enjoying the hike.

Chaoyang National Path(2)
Along the Trail are placards introducing different plants, among them ones named after animals in the Chinese zodiac. One step at a time up the gentle slopes under the shade of trees, you’ll eventually reach the highest point of the Trail on Guishan.

Chaoyang National Path(10)
Guishan overlooks the brilliant blue Pacific Ocean, bay coast as well as Nanao Fishing Harbor at one glance. It’s a great place to watch the sunrise spread over the waves; it changes beautifully with each season.
