There are also several temples around the lake. Located on the mid-slope of the mountain, Longtan Temple, overlooking the lake from high above, provides serenity for its worshipers to practice Taoist rules. Huangti Temple that worships Huangti (the Yellow Emperor) is another renowned temple near Longtan Lake.

Serene picturesque landscapeYilan Longtan Lake is set in a calm and quiet outskirt of Jiaoxi town where one can take a stroll enjoying the scenery and watching the carp and koi fish swim in the clear water. A few herons, ducks and swans also share the lake surrounded by greenery
Far from the madding crowdsWe had a very relaxing stroll around the whole lake.It was beautiful and it you go in the week;chances are that you will have the whole place to yourself,.But do not make the mistake we did;We went on a blistering hot summer day just after 2 o' clock,.Not a good idea.If you want to make the most of your experience, go early morning or better still, late afternoon. It is very beautiful ,rustic and you can even feed the fish.Ideal for photo lovers.Take your camera!
Quiet and nice scenerythis lake is nice and quiet with mountains in the background. lots of fishes in the lake and you can feed them with the food which you can buy from the machine.
PicturesqueScenic views of lake side which is accessible provincial roads. Only a 20 minute drive from the city center

Relaxing Stroll along Longtan LakeA nice way to start the day in Yilan County would be to take a short stroll along Longtan Lake. Despite the fact that I was perhaps half-asleep while strolling (we had an early flight), you can't help but appreciate the relaxing view the lake afforded. The chilly weather, and the early sunlight made the stroll enjoyable.
